Governor Sununu signed into law HB 1014 (2024), which requires school districts and private high schools to develop programs to inform high school students about registering to vote. The House amended the bill to more generally require information on election and voting laws as part of high school civic education.
The Senate amended the bill to also require schools and towns to refer to holidays by their legal name in state law.
